This Wednesday we will be starting our Pond Hockey season!
To start the season we will begin with the groups below and juggle kids after the first session as necessary. If a player is interested in skating in more than one group, that is great. They are welcome to skate with two groups.
Goalies - If any player is interested in playing goalie, please let me know as soon as possible. Lloyd Minor Hockey has goalie equipment that is available to borrow for the season. If we can get two full-time goalies, it will really help with game play. If we don't have any volunteers, then Coach Adams will fill-in :).
Equipment - please ensure to have your players dress in full hockey equipment for the ice times, including neck protector. If you have any questions regarding equipment, please just send me a text and I will be happy to assist.
50/50's - as in previous years, the oldest player from each family will be given a booklet of 50/50's to sell. These will be distributed at the end of November.
Jersey's - each player will be given 2 jersey's this year (one black and one white). I would ask that the jersey's get washed often as they will need to be returned at the end of the season. Again, if I could get a volunteer to help distribute and document the jersey's this Wednesday and Friday, it would be appreciated.
On Ice Helpers - we will require at least one on-ice helper to be on the ice for each group. I have had a few parents from each group agree to help out, which is great. If you would like to volunteer, we would love to have you come out to help. If you are interested, there is a short online course called "Respect in Sport - Leader" that you will need to take prior to volunteering. I would especially encourage female coaches to step up to volunteer. It would be great to have some female coaches to help inspire our female players to keep playing into adulthood.

We are still in the process of adding a few more players to group #3 and we are always interested in adding new players to any group. If you know of any other players that may be interested, please ensure to encourage them to sign-up. We have room to add 5-10 more players into each group. Also, if your daughter or son has a friend who would like to come out, and that friend is registered to play mainstream with LMHA, they are also welcome to come out and skate with us.
