Good Morning, it has come to my attention an email I had sent last night may not have went through. I believe we are having some issues with our site:
I would like to introduce myself as your coach or the 2022/2023 season for the U18-1 Blazers. I have coached many of your players in the past, but there are a number of players I am looking forward to getting to know and working with.
Firstly, thank you to Nikki Jubinville for stepping forward to take on the Manager position this year. Nikki has a fairly full schedule and we are asking for someone to help with some items with her this winter. If you are interested and willing please let us know as soon as you can. Also, thank you to everyone who has volunteered so far to help with the bench, on-ice and other team duties.
As you are aware, we are starting a bit late this year, as such we are jumping right into things. Here are a few items to note:
Practice Wednesday Oct 12 - 6:00 - 7:00 am Civic Centre
Practice Thursday Oct 13 - 9:15-10:15 pm at the Civic Centre.
I do not believe these are our final practice times, once we know for sure we will let everyone know.
Pre-season games start this weekend. We will be playing two games a week for the next few weeks.
Saturday October 15 @ Wainwright at 2:30 pm. Please be there 1.5 hours early. We may not have our Jerseys prior to practice tomorrow so I am building a bit of time into the pre-game to deal with that and the game sheet.
Sunday October 15 @ Marwayne at 12:30 pm. Please be there 1.25 hours early.
If you are not able to attend the games please let me know ASAP, we have a small roster, anyone unavailable to play does impact the team. Also, I am unaware of anyone that may be serving suspensions from last season. If any players are still serving a suspension please let me know too.
I will have a team meeting early next week to explain what the season will look ideally look like. I am really looking forward to getting these players back onto the ice and playing hockey and getting to know all of them and having a fantastic year.
