     Minor Hockey COVID-19 Updates

As you are probably aware, in the last week we have had announcements from both the Alberta and Saskatchewan Governments. Both provinces have extended their current health measures in place. The Government of Alberta (GOA) announced that their current restrictions will remain in effect until January 21st. In Saskatchewan the GOS and SHA have also communicated that their current restrictions will remain in effect until January 29th.

Please be aware that LMHA is looking at options for the remainder of the season pending the January 21st and January 29th updates by the Alberta and Saskatchewan Governments. LMHA is still hopeful we can salvage some of the 2020-2021 season if we can get back on the ice in February.

LMHA is currently working on a survey that will be sent out to our members to get your feedback on a variety of topics including; interest in a season extension, alternative program options, refunds, etc. This will allow LMHA to make the best decisions for the association, knowing what our members want the rest of the season to look like.

We all have a part to play in limiting the spread of COVID-19 in our community. Although these extended guidelines are not favorable for our members, they have been implemented to protect the health of our players, parents, fans, volunteers and staff.
